Support Group for families and friends of persons diagnosed with severe and persistent mental illness

Granite City

First Tuesday of each month Combined Support Group for Individuals living with a mental illness and their Family and Friends at Pascal Hall Meeting Room (down hall between Lobby entrance and Gift Store), Ground floor, Gateway Regional Medical Center, Granite City, IL, 7:00 - 8:30 PM. Litchfield

Third Tuesday of each month, Sharing & Caring Meeting for Individuals living with a mental illness and Family Members at the Christian Church of Litchfield, 131 Yaeger Lake Trail, 7:00 - 8:30PM. Contact Shirley Ragland at 217-313-0165.

Edwardsville

Fourth Tuesday of each month, NAMI Family Support Group at First Baptist Church, 534 St. Louis St., Edwardsville, IL, (Use church parking lot entrance) 7:00 - 8:30PM. Contact Pat Rudloff at 618-656-6781.

Belleville

Third Tuesday of each month, a support group for Family Members and Individuals living with a mental illness— new location as of Tuesday, January 17th —SWIC/PSOP Building, 201 N. Church St., Rm. 204, Belleville, IL 62220, (Parking lot across the street) 7:00PM - 8:30PM. Contact Pat Rudloff at 618-656-6781. Troy

NAMI Connection

Support Group open to all adults with mental illness regardless of diagnosis

Belleville

New NAMI Connection weekly meeting for individuals living with a mental illnesss has started in the Belleville area. The free group will meet every Wednesday 5 - 6:30 PM, Chestnut Health Systems, 12 N. 64th Street Dr., Belleville, IL 62223. Beginning March 7, 2012 NAMI Connection will meet from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM. Please note that the location and the day of the week will remain the same. For more information call Sheila, 618-578-9200 or Geri 217-960-4536. Note: In the event of inclement weather, Connection will be canceled if SWIC announces it is closed.

Questions regarding NAMI SWI meetings and inclement weather policies: when Southwestern IL College (SWIC) classes are cancelled because of bad weather NAMI SWI support meetings are also cancelled. SWIC cancellation notices will be broadcast on all major TV and radio stations in the St. Louis area.

There is an urgent need in these stressful times for NAMI to offer more support meetings throughout the 12 counties we are attempting to serve. It takes volunteers to do this. Please call the NAMI office 618-798-9788 for information about how you can become a support group facilitator.
