October 2, 2010, the day of the 7th. Annual Walk For Mental Health finally arrived. It was a cool crisp morning and you could see the clouds approaching. By 8:30 am it had started to rain but that did not deter the exhibitors. They came with their tables and informational items for our walkers. They set up inside the pavilion, which was donated by Tri-Township Park.

Funds raised and what programs will be supported
This year our Walk for Mental Health was attended by county Board Chairman Alan Dunstan, Senator Kyle McCarter, and Representative Tom Holbrook. This is a first to get them there. Getting our story in front of elected officials is critical due to budget cuts. We grossed over $15,000. All of NAMI's programs are free so it will be evenly spread over them all with some going to outreach to our new counties. We now have 12!
